Katsina United head coach, Azeez Mohammed has tipped his players to give Rivers United a tough time as they hope to end their unproductive spell in their away games in Port Harcourt.
The Chanji Boys are yet to get any points from 13 away games and have lost once at home to Kwara United.
Mohammed told www.dasportstainment247.com that they know they are up against a bigger and tougher opposition in Rivers United but he affirmed that his boys would not be cowed by the antecedents of the Pride of Rivers who have only dropped four points at home this season.
“We know we are up against a tough opposition but my boys are up to the task,” Mohammed told www.dasportstainment247 com.
“We are trying to pick a few points from our away game but concentrating more on getting all points in our home games. We are targeting league survival and we must win all our remaining home games.
“I will say I was pleased with the way the boys played against Enyimba. We are moving the ball well and playing well too but we need to be lucky with the results too.”
Meanwhile, Katsina United head coach, Azeez Mohammed confirmed the absence of Samuel Kalu from the trip to Port Harcourt.
He said the ex-FC IfeanyiUbah striker sustained a knock in their 3-1 home win over Enyimba and despite making full recovery, he was told to take a deserved rest.
Katsina United are in the 14th spot with 31 points from 27 games.
