AS Kigali head coach Eric Nshimiyimana has named former Nasarawa United Striker, Abubakar Lawal among his travelling party to face Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA FC) for their Caf Confederation Cup first round, second leg encounter billed for Wednesday next week.
The second leg of the first-round game will be held at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on January 6 as the Rwandan side enjoy a 2-0 advantage which they earned without kicking a ball.
KCCA failed to raise a minimum number of players for the match after 12 of their squad members tested positive for the coronavirus.
The Nigerian scored the two goals that earned AS Kigali the qualification berth to the first round of the Africa’s second tier club competition against Orapa United of Botswana in the preliminary round and his goals should help propel the Rwanda side to the playoff round.
