The two semi final matches of the 2020-21 Mbaike Unity Football Tournament will hold this afternoon and on Sunday at the Presentation Secondary School, Ogbaku and Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu Stadium, Iho, Ikeduru.
The first semi-final holds between Ifakala Ward and Orodo B Ward this evening at the Presentation Secondary School, Ogbaku by 4pm while the second semi final is fixed for 4pm on Sunday at the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu Stadium, Iho between Amaimo Ward and Ngugo Ikembara Ward.
To qualify for the semi final at the Mbaitoli centre, Ifakala Ward dispatched Orodo Ward A 2-0 while Orodo Ward B eliminated Ezinihitte Ward 4-3 on penalties after the regulation time ended 1-1 in noth quarter final games
While at the Ikeduru centre, Amaimo Ward got the better of Amatta Ward 1-0 while Ngugo Ikembara Ward pipped Inyishi/Umudim Ward 2-1. Both were also quarter final games of the Mbaike Unity Football Tournament powered by the Founder/Chairman of Akarachi Foundation, Engr. Akarachi Amadi.
The winner of both semi-final games will qualify for the grand finale of the mega football tournament scheduled for January 3rd, 2021 at the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu Stadium, Iho, Ikeduru LGA with eminent Mbaike sons and daughters led by the Imo Deputy Governor, Professor Placid Njoku who is expected as the Chairman of the occasion.
