Ahead of the start of the 2020-21 NPFL season and in accordance with the League Management Company (LMC) and Presidential Task Force health protocols required of all participating teams in the top Nigerian leagues, players and officials of Rangers International F.C, underwent the mandatory Covid-19 test at the testing center, University of Nigeria Teachiing Hospital (UNTH), Ituku-Ozalla, Enugu State.
Nose and throat specimens were obtained from all players, coaches, backroom and management staff with the result expected before the ‘Flying Antelopes’ opening day encounter with Rivers United inside the main bowl of Adokiye Amiesiamaka stadium, Port-Harcourt.
Coach Salisu Yusuf said after the specimen collection, “I am glad that we have successfully presented ourselves for the mandatory test and it will now be possible for us to do our thing on the field of play.”
Recall that organizers of the NPFL and the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 had mandated all clubs participating in the top Nigerian league to carry out the test.
