The Proprietress of Imo Angels FC, Jenny Anusiem on behalf of Imo Angels FC, has extended her heartfelt congratulations to Nigeria representatives in the CAF Women’s Champions League, Wafu B qualifiers, Rivers Angels on their resounding victory over Hasaacas Ladies FC of Ghana.
Speaking from her base in Owerri, the football administrator was full of praise for the Nigerian champions who beat the Ghanaian women’s side 2-0 in their first game played on Saturday night.
“On behalf of Imo Angels I wish to congratulate the Jewels of Rivers on their strong and victorious start at the Caf women champions league qualifiers in Abidjan,” Anusiem stated.
“It is a victory well deserved given that the girls have worked so hard to get to this stage.
The girls did not only beat Nigeria perennial rivals, Ghana, they also outclassed their opponent in the field of play with their sublime skills.”
She also called on all Nigerians to rally behind Rivers Angels.
