Reasons Mikel Obi missed Stoke City’s home win vs Boro

Former Super Eagles Skipper, John Mikel Obi failed to overcome his fitness issues and has now missed Stoke City’s last two games in the English Championship.


Before the injury setback, Mikel Obi started all the Potters’ 14 games in the league but was substituted in the 76th minute of their 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday after a suspected Injury.

He was unavailable for Stoke City’s 1-0 away win at Wycombe Wanderers midweek and was also omitted in their home game with Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Stoke are fifth on the table with 28 points from 16 games.
