The Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba North local government Area,Hon Ify Obinabo has advised parents to encourage their children and wards, especially the girl child to develop their God given talents at early age so as to fulfill their life destiny.
Hon Obinabo who gave the advice during a courtesy visit to her office at Ajali, the council headquarters by Maureen Mmadu football kiddies camp stated that when parents embrace their major role of identifying, sharpening and developing the talents of the girl child, then the society can be sure of having future mothers who are financially independent.
She extolled the founder of Maureen mmadu football kiddies camp , Maureen Mmadu for embarking on agresive talent hunt for young girls who are endowed with football skill in Anambra state.
Hon Obinabo appreciated her for plowing back to the society that moulded her to become a successful international football player.
Earlier in her speech, Maureen Mmadu who went back the memory lane to recall how her parents almost hindered her from being a footballer because they wrongly assumed that such skill is not ment for girls.
According to her, it is based on such premise that she decided to groom young girls who are talented in football to break all barriers and achieve their dreams .
She asserted that she has succeeded in exposing a lot of young girls to play in international football teams.
