NSCDC Women’s Volleyball team and Nigeria Customs Service Men’s Volleyball have successfully defended the 2020 Nigeria Volleyball Super Cup after beating their final opponents on Wednesday at the Indoor Sports Hall of the University of Ilorin.
NSCDC repeated last year feat by beating the same adversary they pipped to the title last year, Nigeria Customs Service 3-1 (25-18, 21-25, 25-19, 25-22) in a keenly contested game.
The Civil Defence team never left anyone in doubt regarding their resolve to retain the championship they won last year from the beginning to the end of the Super Cup where they won all their four games convincingly.
Before the final victory lap, NSCDC had earlier beaten Chief of Army Staff Spikers, Nigeria Immigration Service and Kada Emeralds before the final win over Nigeria Customs Service.
Nigeria Customs Service did redeem their image in the men’s category of the 2020 Nigeria Volleyball Super Cup after they thrashed Kano Pillars 3-0 in Ilorin.
Nigeria Customs Service showed their keen desire to regain the trophy they won last year and they were rewarded with a resounding victory at the Indoor Sports Hall of the University of Ilorin over Sai Masu Gida Volleyballers with 25-21, 25-16, 25-20.
