Kano Pillars and Nigeria Customs Service Volleyball teams have cruised to the final of the Men’s 2020 Nigeria Volleyball Super Cup after they defeated their semi-final foes at the Indoor Sports Hall of the University of Ilorin on Tuesday evening.

To qualify for the final billed for Wednesday, Kano Pillars recovered from a set down to beat favourites NSCDC 3-1 (19-25, 27-25, 27-25, 26-24) in a tension soaked last four encounter while Nigeria Customs Service set up a grand finale clash with Kano Pillars with a resounding 3-0 victory over Sunshine Spikers.

Nigeria Customs dominated the tie to win in three straight sets of 25-16, 25-18, 27-25.

In the women’s cadre, Nigeria Customs Service made it a double with their male team already through to the final. Customs spanked Chief of Army Staff Spikers 3-0 in a comfortable win in Ilorin. Customs cruised to 25-18, 25-18, 25-14 in the semi-final tie.

NSCDC women’s team made amends for the ouster of their men’s counterparts with a 3-0 win over Kada Emeralds in the semi-final on Tuesday. NSCDC men’s team had earlier been beaten by Kano Pillars 3-1 in a semi-final fixture but their women’s team had a roller coaster win over Kada Emeralds whom they beat 25-23, 25-12 and 25-17.

The competition in the men’s and women’s categories comes to an end on Wednesday with the final game in both cadre.
