The Management and Staff of Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, on Thursday, paid a condolence visit to Comr. Isah Muhammad, Chairman of Sports Writers’ Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Nasarawa State Chapter.
Leading the delegation on behalf of the Ministry to the Chairman’s residence in Lafia, Director of Facilities and Stadium Management, Yusuf Ahmad, sympathized with the deceased’s family over the sad event.
He conveyed the apologies of the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi, who had wished to personally lead the Organisation’s delegation but was repeatedly caught in unforseen circumstances.
Yusuf said the Ministry was devastated upon learning about the sad news, but prayed that the Almighty Allah would forgive the limitations of the deceased and grant her soul Aljanna Firdausi.
He prayed that God would strengthen the SWAN Chairman, his immediate family and all those affected by the sad occurrence, adding that death is a necessary end for every mortal, and it visits whenever it is one’s appointed time.
Responding, the SWAN Chairman thanked the delegation for the visit.
He said he was encouraged by the show of love by the Organisation and would continue to cherish it every moment of his life.
Isah prayed God to reward the kind gesture of the Ministry and its members to him and his family, assuring that he would continue to do his best, alongside his Association, SWAN, to promote activities of the Ministry and State Government for the overall benefit of the State and her people.
On Monday, 7th August, 2023, news filtered about the death of Fatima, wife of the State’s Chairman, Isah Muhammad, following a brief illness.
Her remains have since been buried in Lafia according to Islamic rites, leaving behind her husband and four children.
