.Nigerian duo help extend Turkish side’s unbeaten run to three games
Two Nigerians: Emeka Friday Eze and Ibrahim Olasunkanmi Olawoyin combined to hand crucial three points to their Turkish 1st Lig side, Ankara Keciorengucu in their 3-2 home win over fifth-placed Bandirmaspor on Saturday in one of the round 15 games.
Keciorengucu went three games unbeaten for the first time in the ongoing season after their Nigerian duo helped them to overturn a 2-1 deficit to 3-2 with the winning goal scored in the 97th minute via the boot of 24 years old Olawoyin for his fourth goal of the season from 13 games.
It was the home team that started brightly when Issa Djibrilla put them in the ascendancy in the fourth minute but Philippe Keny equalized for Bandirmaspor in the 21st minute. It was 1-1 at halftime.
Guido Kocer shot the visitors ahead in the 51st minute and when it was as if all hope had been lost, 25 years old Emeka Eze evened the scores in the 89th minute for his seventh goal of the campaign from 14 games.
Not content with another draw, Ankara Keciorengucu went for the killer punch and got it through Olawoyin in the final moment of the game to hand the full points to the home team.
The morale-boosting win has taken Keciorengucu to the 15th spot with 17 points from 15 games ahead of Tuesday’s away trip to Manisa FK in another 1st Lig tie.
