Heartland FC new scoring sensation, Emmanuel Adachi has lauded the effort of the General Manager of the Naze Millionaires, Chief Ifeanyi Chukwudi through whose unyielding effort he was able to have a second chance with the club.
Adachi who was making his competitive debut for the Scientific Boys on Wednesday in a NPFL Matchday Four tie against Enyimba showed no nerves at all as he scored Heartland FC second goal to put the icing on the cake for Fidelis Ilechukwu’s men who thus earned their first victory of the season after four matches.
“Wednesday game with Enyimba was my first game in the NPFL and it was a great opportunity for me because the coaches believe in me. I was very happy to mark it with a goal,” Adachi told our correspondent.
“I want to appreciate Heartland FC for making it possible for me to be part of the game on Wednesday especially against a top team like Enyimba. Even when the game started I was overwhelmed with pressure but the coach called me and encouraged me. He even gave me advise on how to pick up. The goal I scored on Wednesday was my first goal in the NPFL and I am thrilled about this.”
The youngster also explained the happenstance through which he got his big leap to return to the Naze Millionaires, a club he unceremoniously left some seasons ago.
“We played Honourable Chiagozie Nwaneri Prosperity Cup at Oru East and I was the highest goal scorer with nine goals. In the final, the General Manager of Heartland, Chief Ifeanyi Chukwudi was there and he was the one that presented the award to me and he said I am going to come back to Heartland FC that I could do it.
“I appreciated him so much. He has been very good to me taking me like his son.”
