Heartland FC defender, Divine Ukadike has disclosed that he is eager to work more of perfecting his free kick act for more precision and accuracy.

Ukadike scored the only goal of the game last weekend as the Naze Millionaires pipped in-form Shooting Stars 1-0 in their return game to the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri for the first time since the start of the second stanza.

The defender’s ballistic free kick beat impressive Okeimute Odah in the 23rd minute of the game and could have got another when another free kick from him hit the upright also in the first half.

Speaking with Heartland FC Media, Ukadike pointed out that he was happy to score his first goal of the season and also further thrilled that the effort came from a dead ball situation, one he has been working and training so hard to perfect.

“I feel very good scoring the vital goal that gave us the three points in our return game to Owerri. I am grateful to God for giving me the first goal of the season and I expect more to come by God’s grace and more hard work,” Ukadike told the club’s media.

“There is no guarantees in free kick taken but I will keep on working hard to be more perfect about it. I have been told it is my asset and that I can become better known with it.”

Heartland FC will face Bendel Insurance this weekend in a Nigeria Premier Football League Matchday 32 tie with Ukadike’s sight on scoring more goals and preventing the opposing side from scoring as the Naze Millionaires continue the battle towards escaping relegation.
