Niger Delta U-17 Peace Cup: Sam Decent, KIFA Academy two Deltan teams through to the semi-final


Sam Decent FC (Imo), Delta Force, Delta United and Akwa Ibom’s KIFA Academy are the semi-finalists of the ongoing Niger Delta U-17 Peace Cup in Akwa Ibom State.

Sam Decent cruised to the last four after a comfortable 2-0 victory over Diamond Star of Cross River at the Itam Sports Complex, Uyo while Akwa Ibom’s KIFA Academy narrowly edged Dynamo Academicals at the Oron Stadium in another affair.

Delta state continues to dominate grassroots sports after their two representatives survived penalty kick drama to scale through to the semi-final.

Delta United were held to a 1-1 draw by Ekimogun of Ondo before progressing 4-2 on penalties at the Ikot Ekpene Stadium while Delta Force also pulled through to the last four after defeating Talent Camp of Bayelsa State 4-1 on penalties after the regulation time ended goalless at the University of Uyo Mini Stadium.
