TP Mazembe midfielder, Austine Oladapo played his part as the Ravens booked their place in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup after a 3-0 aggregate win over Royal AM of South Africa.
Oladapo came on in the 83rd minute to help shore up the midfield with the former CAF Champions League champions leading 1-0 through Adam Bossu’s 43rd minute effort and the former Enyimba skipper did a yeoman job for over 10 minutes that he featured.
The ex- Gombe United, FC IfeanyiUbah, and Sunshine Stars midfielder was also in the thick of action in the first leg played in Lubumbashi last midweek.
“I am thrilled to qualify for the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup with TP Mazembe and we are going to make the best use of the opportunity,” Oladapo told our correspondent.
“It was a difficult moment for us when we lost to Vita SC of Uganda in the CAF Champions League and some changes were made. We are glad we utilised the second chance we had. We are going to try our best to win the competition.”
Oladapo and TP Mazembe will know their group stage foes on Wednesday next week when the draw is conducted in Cairo, Egypt.
