UNIMPRESSIVE START: Abia Warriors ready to quit Enyimba Stadium for Okigwe

Abia Warriors have begun the process that will ensure that their next home league game against MFM of Lagos on Sunday, January 24th, 2021 takes place at the Okigwe Township Stadium, Okigwe, Imo State.

Abia Warriors through the Abia Football Association have written to the Imo FA to request for the use of the State facilities at Okigwe and after the receipt of the letter of intention, Imo FA has also communicated the State Commissioner for Sports, Dan Ogu to get an approval.

The topflight side have lost all the four games they have played in the NPFL this season including two home matches against Rivers United and Jigawa Golden Stars that they played at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba.

Our source also confirmed Abia Warriors already informed the League Management Company (LMC) about the development and that they are making concerted effort to ensure that they host MFM at the Okigwe Township Stadium.

Abia Warriors on Thursday placed the team’s technical crew led by Imama Amapakabo on three game ultimatum as the management steps up search to unravel the reason for their bad start to the season despite having a near perfect preseason activities.
