The Golden Eaglets stepped up their preparations for the 2020 WAFU- B Under 17 Championship with another routine victory on Friday as the team defeated Dante Academy 4-2 at FIFA Goal Project, MKO Abiola stadium, Abuja.
Reports emanated that the some important members of the Under 17 squad failed the MRI Scan Test which could be a major setback to the team’s build-up to the Championship slated for Benin Republic later in the month but the result posted against Dante Academy showed the team is unruffled by the revelation.
Just like it was at the WAFU-B U20 Championship held also in Benin Republic, the Golden Eaglets will face Cote d’ Ivoire and Ghana in a tough Group B with two teams expected to make it from the group to the semi-finals.
The Media Officer of the Golden Eaglets, Francis Achi confirmed that the team is billed to have another friendly game on Saturday at the FIFA Goal Project, MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja at 4 pm.
