Even though they came second at the end of the Nigeria Teqball Challenger Series 1, Osayande Edokpolor is not a happy person and has vowed to improve in the next series of the championship.
Edokpolor who paired with Gloria Sylvester in the final of the mixed doubles were beaten by two sets to one by Brave Heart duo of Emeka Nwachukwu and Ijeoma Obi said they didn’t start the game well and that by the time they realised it it was too late for them to muster a comeback.
He told journalists shortly after their loss in Abuja that he is fully focused on the next Challenger Series which starts on Sunday.
“I was happy but not too happy because I know I would better in the second series. We are playing the second series any moment from now and I know I will do better,” Edokpolor told journalists.
“I was watching when the game started. I didn’t calm it down and before I could realise it was too late.
The N-Youth player thumbed up the organisers of the competition and he stated that it is desire to play the Teqball game to the highest level and also represent Nigeria at the World Cup.
“The tournament is great. I have met many good players here and so it is my privileged to meet them and I am happy to play against them,” he added.
“I want to play the game of Teqball to the highest level and to represent my country.”
