Super Falcons goalkeeper, Tochukwu Oluehi has charged the team to correct the mistakes noticed before their next game with Portugal.
Oluehi put up a fantastic display between the goalposts to save Nigeria on numerous occasions but her defence went to sleep when they were unable to clear the ball out of danger after the goalie saved the initial effort from Denisha Blackwood before the striker bundled home the rebound.
The Spain-based goalkeeper charged the team to put the defeat against Jamaica behind them and be fully focused on the game with Portugal.
“I don’t know what to say. I wanted to swap roles and join the team to score but when a goalkeeper tried all that she could only concede a silly goal is frustrating. I and the team tried our best but unfortunately, it was not enough for us to get a good result,” Oluehi told the team media.
“For now, I will give them like 50 percent because they are new and with time the defense will blend.
“We have seen the result against Jamaica and we have to go back home and correct the lapses we made ahead of the second game with the hope that we will storm back to winning ways.”
