Rivers United’s newly signed attacker Samuel Afful has vowed to help his team pick the 2020/21 CAF Continental ticket by the end of the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League season.
Samuel Afful has played for several teams in the past including Sekondi Hasaacas and he recently moved to Rivers United as a Forward.
Afful was part of Ghana’s squad that won the WAFU Nations Cup at the expense of Senegal in 2013to a first-place finish after Ghana beat Senegal by three goals to one in 2013.
He revealed in an interview during their last training session on Saturday morning that his invitation to play for Rivers United was a surprise to him.
“So far, I am with Rivers United I will always give in my best to make sure our dream is being fulfilled.
“I have a big task to be fulfilled in the team and with the help of the entire team I will give my best. the most important thing for me is to be among the legends that will lead Rivers united to the continent again.
“I believe in my ability and of the coach. The teamwork is very vital and important that is all we need as we resume the second round of the very soon.” Afful added.
