Under 23 star, Ndifreke Effiong is available for picks today after he took part in Akwa United’s last three training sessions ahead of their NPFL MatchDay Four tie with Katsina United in Uyo.
The Promise Keepers have been struggling under a new coach, John Obuh with only two points from the three matches they have played including the 3-1 away loss to Enyimba in Aba last weekend.
Effiong was in Egypt with the Olympic Eagles before they crashed out of the 2019 Africa U23 AFCON in the group stage last weekend but he quickly returned back to his side in the domestic league to ensure he assists the club at these trying times.
The Media Officer of the team, Mfon Patrick told www.dasportstainment247.com that Ndifreke is among the 18 players pencilled for the tie and that he could play some part in the game if the technical crew deemed him fit enough to do so.
“Ndifreke is back with us and has been involved in all the training sessions we have had since we returned from Aba,” Patrick told dasportstainment247.com.
“He is in the team preparing for the tie with Katsina United. We don’t know if he will be considered for the game.”
