The Ogun State Football Association (OGSFA) has joined the rest of the Football world, particularly the Football family in Nigeria to mourn the death of the Former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Technical Director, Chief Pius Kasimawo Laloko.
Speaking on behalf of the Association, executive board of NFF and the Chairman of the Association, Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi said his board members and members are in a moment of grief at the passing of the renowned football administrator.
Alhaji Majekodunmi described the late Laloko as a diligent and energetic administrator, who will be greatly missed for his contribution to football development in Nigeria.
Majekodunmi said “Chief Laloko is a diligent and energetic administrator. He will be greatly missed for his wealth of experience that can not be quantified and for his contributions to Football development in Nigeria”.
Alhaji Majekodunmi also prayed to God to give the family he left behind the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Late Laloko who was fondly referred to as “Duro Amene” during his playing days at Abeokuta Grammar School, died on Saturday (27/03/2021) morning at his residence in Gbonagun, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
He will be buried at the same residence on the 29th of March by 3pm.
Laloko was the founder of Pepsi Football Academy and the first Olori Odan of Egba land.
He was also the Olori Parakoyi of Egba land.
