Osun Babes midfield enforcer, Mary Aderemi agreed that their South-West derby fixture with FC Robo Queens would be difficult but she affirmed that the Omoluabi Ladies are eyeing another away win in Lagos irrespective of how tough the game would be.

Osun Babes and FC Robo were the only two teams with away victory in the opening games of the season with Osun Babes stunning Ibom Angels 1-0 in Uyo while FC Robo recorded an identical scoreline in Lafia against Nasarawa Amazons.

Speaking with www.dasportstainment247.com ahead of the crucial game at the Legacy Pitch inside National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, Aderemi disclosed that they have put the distraction to their build-up with FC Robo behind them and are fully focused on the Wednesday tie with the firm belief that they could continue their winning streak in Lagos.

“We are grateful to God for the away victory. We worked hard for it during the preseason and I was so excited when the referee signaled the end of the game that we had won the game,” Aderemi, who is a member of Nigeria Under 20 women’s national team, Falconets, told www.dasportstainment247.com.

Aderemi opened up on the protest march they had in Oshogbo on Tuesday and hinted that she hopes the issue is resolved amicably so that it won’t derail their season.

“For now we are still on it …but by God’s grace, we are expecting good news from the management and the board members as it will be conveyed to them by the State Government. We are always ready to give our best to Osun Babes,” she continues

“As we face FC Robo Queens in Lagos, we know that the game will be tough against them but we aim to win the game and extend our winning start.”

Osun Babes have three points after a game in the NWFL Premiership and Aderemi who played 90 minutes against Ibom Angels in Uyo was part of the players instrumental to the key away win.
