Sunshine Queens picked their first away win of the season after they pipped Abia Angels 1-0 at the Umuahia Township Stadium through Seun Fakunle’s 33rd minute goal. The Owena Ladies thus moved two steps up to the seventh spot with seven points from five games but Abia Angels slipped to the 10th spot from their previous sixth spot. They have six points from the same number of games.

At the Agbor Township Stadium, Agbor, Delta Queens ended Bayelsa Queens’ winning start to the season after a 1-0 home victory. Rachael Okotete with the decisive strike in the 56th minute that lifted Delta Queens to the sixth spot with nine points from five matches while Bayelsa Queens remain in the first position with 12 points from as many games. But the Restoration Ladies have their lead cut down to a point ahead of the next round of games next week.
At the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin, Edo Queens just did enough to earn the maximum points off embattled Nasarawa Amazons. Elizabeth Zirike’s 38th-minute undertaking was enough to deliver the maximum points. Edo Queens moved to third on the table with 11 points from five games while Nasarawa Amazons are twelfth with three points from five games.
