As the world celebrates Christmas, Nigerians have been urged to use this period for sober reflections and embrace peace and unity, even as they join in the jollification.
This was contained in separate messages, sent by some prominent Nigerians. On his part, Nigeria’s Pillar of Sports, High Chief Donatus Agu-Ejidike, JP, advised that Nigerians should ensure moderation while celebrating this great season. He added that peace and unity must remain the top priorities of every Nigerian.
President of Nigeria Basketball Federation, Engr. Musa Kida, while expressing his happiness and gratitude to God for keeping us alive to witness another Christmas celebration, enjoined Nigerians to ensure there’s peace, love, and unity amongst the people at all times.
He added that only a peaceful and united people can enjoy the progress.
In the words of the Managing Director of Micura Services Limited, High Chief (Dr). Michael Ubogu, Nigerians have every reason to sing, dance, and celebrate during this period.
According to Ubogu, who is an ardent football lover and patron of several Adult sports recreational clubs across the country, the whole world is experiencing socio-economic challenges. Therefore, God’s faithfulness and grace must be celebrated, albeit in peace and unity.
On his own part, National Chairman of Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Ambassador (Rev). Samuel Ikpea remarked that football lovers and indeed, all Nigerians home and diaspora should not only celebrate in this period, they should also pray for continued peace, unity, love, and stability in the country at all times.
Ambassador Ikpea also enjoined Nigerians to pray for the success of the country’s male and female national football teams as they battle on all fronts in continental and global championships.
