The Nigeria Football Federation’s Disciplinary Committee has found Bayelsa Queens culpable of encroachment and in breach of COVID-19 protocols in their 3-2 home win over Edo Queens and have been fined N600,000 (six hundred thousand naira only) for these infractions.
During their seating in Abuja on Friday the NFF’s Disciplinary Committee also ordered the Nigeria Women’s Football League to write a circular to all the clubs in all the divisions to be reminded of their position regarding fans presence or otherwise at match venues due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“That Bayelsa Queens Fc is found guilty of encroachment and is hereby fined the sum of Three Hundred Thousand Naira (N300,000) only,” the NFF’s Disciplinary Committee said in the decision reached at their Friday seating.
“That Bayelsa Queens FC is guilty of breach of Covid- 19 protocols and is hereby fined the sum of Three Hundred Thousand Naira (N300,000) only.
“That the Nigeria Women Football League is hereby directed to write a circular to all the Clubs under its supervision, stating in clear terms what their position is with regard to Covid – 19 Protocols, whether Fans are to be allowed or not during matches and if they are allowed, the minimum number of persons to be allowed must be clearly stated to forestall breach of Covid 19 Protocols in future.”
