Young administrator and strategist, Ayodeji Adegbenro has talked up his Nigeria Football Federation, (NFF) exco ambition, vowing to bring fresh ideas on board if elected at next month’s Elective Congress.
Adegbenro who threw his hat in the ring on Tuesday, by picking up a nomination form to vye for the Southwest’s seat on the board of the NFF has expressed his readiness to ‘walk the talk’ to bring about improvement in Nigeria football governance.
“You will agree with me that Nigeria football has been at its lowest ebb in the last few years and we need to turn things around; we need an infusion of fresh ideas, we need to transform our football from top to bottom, and while we build our from bottom to the top.
“So this is why I am running to be on the board of the Nigeria Football Federation. I believe I can bring all of these if I get elected.” Adegbenro posited.
Before his appointment as Project and Communications Coordinator with LaLiga Nigeria in 2016, Adegbenro was Deputy Director, Marketing and Corporate Affairs of the Ondo State Football Agency, where he helped generated record revenue for Sunshine Stars and Sunshine Queens.
Adegbenro who holds a Masters degree in Sports Management from the London Metropolitan, is a PhD Student(Sports Management) of Cocordia University, Illinois USA.
