Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers has hailed the sterling contributions of his players including Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho who provided the assist for the Foxes’ equaliser in the EPL game with Manchester United last weekend.
Before the tie, Leicester was yet to win a game this season but a thumping performance from the players aided a 4-2 victory over previously unbeaten Red Devils who had played 29 away games without a loss.
The 48-year-old while praising his players stated: “James [Maddison] and Kels (Kelechi Iheanacho) put everything into the game, so we needed to keep the freshness in the team, we needed to keep them pushing.
“And obviously bringing Patson [Daka] on, he wants to run in behind, he’s a natural goal-scorer. For him, he had a little chance inside the box, the ‘keeper makes a save and then he’s there, sniffing around the goal for the finish. So, I’m very pleased for him.”
Leicester moved to the 11th spot with 11 points from eight games after securing their maiden win of the campaign.
