He said Nwoke died when she was needed most especially to reposition the state female football club and spread her horizon far and wide.
“Nwoke had contributed immensely to the stability of Heartland Queens adding that she had plans of improving the team. She had her name etched in the sands of time and her contributions to the development of football will continue to be fondly remembered,” Ezihe stated.
“You have lived a good life and nothing can erase all the good things you have done for women’s football in Imo and beyond. We are saddened by your death but when we remember all that you have done, we will continue to celebrate and remember you fondly.”
The late football boss who hailed from Ihitte Uboma local government area of Imo State upon assumption of office had tasked players and officials on commitment and the club narrowly missed out on a return to the Nigeria Women’s Football League Premiership in the recently held NWFL Championship playoffs held in Abuja.
