Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Imo Chapter has hailed the appointment of one of his committed members, Anthony Ahize as the Media Officer, Heartland Queens of Owerri.
The Association in a press statement signed by the Chairman, Everest Ezihe and Secretary, Tunde Liadi, said the management of the Imo women’s darling has made the right decision to select the hard working Ahize as the next face of the club’s media department.
SWAN, Imo assured Ahize of total support in the discharge of his duties as the media Officer while the Association admonished the new Media Officer to seek collaborations knowing that with the modern trend in the media, it would be practically impossible for just an individual to effectively discharge the club’s day to day duties.
The Sports Writers praised the giant strides of the Imo Government in the area of sports including ensuring that Heartland Queens remained in the topflight beyond the immediate past season and also midwifing Heartland FC instant return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
SWAN, Imo is also using the auspicious time to appeal to the management and the technical crew of Heartland Queens to take the issue of new players recruitment seriously if the team is to align with the thoughts of the Youth Sports and Social Development Commissioner, Honourable Emeka Okoronkwo who said the team’s women’s side will strive to target NWFL Premiership Super Six in the coming season.
The Sports Writers praised the appointment of the new Media Officer and pray that he gets the right guidance for him to excel in his new assignment.
