At 12 noon on Saturday, former Super Eagles goalkeeper, former captain, and former national team goalkeeper trainer, Ike Shorounmu, became a traditional chief.
During the official courtesy visit to the Oba of Wasimi, the Oniwasimi of Wasimi, Oba Emmanuel Babatunde Oshuntogun, the national football hero was presented with a surprise special 1st of May-gift.
Ike Shorounmu, was conferred with the traditional Chieftaincy title of Olunla of Wasimi.
He was accompanied to the Palace by the Chairman of the SOCA PTA, Chief Dele Avri, the Head of Sports, Prof. Lee Evans, the Administrator of the school, Mr. Denis Owumi, the Bursar, Mr. Michael Olaniran, amongst others.
