Heartland Owerri have enjoyed a fantastic run over Kwara United with four wins, two draws, and a defeat over the previous seven fixtures and the Naze Millionaires will be desirous of extending that impressive run when the Harmony Boys step the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri on Thursday evening.

The home side can’t afford to drop points after losing their last two games to Niger Tornadoes (3-2) and Kano Pillars (2-1). They know that annexing the maximum points would help cushion their fight for survival.

The home side have not won on the road this season, and their only hope of survival this campaign is to be more brutal on the pitch at home while hoping to improve on their away form.

Heartland Owerri have won three, drawn four, and lost once, scoring eleven while conceding eight on their own turf but head coach, Christian Obi and his players would be motivated to win the club’s fourth game of the season and the returned coach’s first victory of the season.

Heartland FC won the last fixture 1-0 in Owerri on July 17th, 2022 while Kwara United broke the circus of four game winless run on March 13th, 2022 when they managed a 2-1 win in Ilorin.

Kabiru Dogo’s men returned to winning ways beating Sunshine Stars 1-0 in Ilorin, having gone two games without a breakthrough including the 2-0 home loss to Lobi Stars.

The Owerri side are certain to play a few home game outside the Dan Anyiam Stadium with the Nigeria Premier Football League organisers recent pronouncement on the stadium and they must give their fans and supporters fitting send off with the maximum points.

Meanwhile, the determined zeal to have the turf of the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri put in good order got a huge boost with the donation of 20 sprinklers by a loyal fan of Heartland FC who pleaded to remain anonymous.

Heartland FC Media can confirm that eight of the sprinklers have been delivered to the stadium while the remaining 12 are being processed for onward delivery.

The sprinklers when fully utilized would help with the proper wetting of the Dan Anyiam Stadium pitch to ensure it is brought back to shape for the NPFL inspectors to approve the club’s return to their fortress.
