Heartland FC goalkeeper, Darlintin Ovunda has tasked his teammates to aspire for another win in Benin City as the club’s make a short trip to face Bendel Insurance on Saturday in a Nigeria Premier Football League Matchday 32 tie.

Ovunda was impressive again for the Owerri side as they secured the maximum points at home to Shooting Stars, the team he previously played for before joining Heartland FC and the goalkeeper informed that they cannot afford to relax knowing that the job is yet to be complete.

“We are going for a win because we know that we deserve to be in better position on the league table than the one we presently are. We will all we can do to return with a positive result,” Ovunda told Heartland FC Media.

“I thank God for this. It is what we have been looking for and I thank God that the winning days are back. It is not over for now, we will keep pushing.”

The former Rivers United goalie further pointed out that he was relaxed and calm ahead the last weekend with Shooting Stars, the club he last played for before joining Heartland FC because he doesn’t want to be distracted by the thoughts and was thrilled they won the game.

“I know there are three eventualities in football but facing your former team doesn’t mean you take it to heart. It is nothing special. They are a very good side. They played very well and we played them with some respect but we knew we would win the game.

“Every game has its tactics and no two games are the same. We are not yet satisfied because we know that we are not where we supposed to be and we have to keep pushing.”
