Enyimba FC will continue the march towards a second successive Governor Okezie Ikpeazu Preseason Tournament title when they trade tackles with Supreme Kings today in one of the quarter final games fixed for the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba.
The People’s Elephant are the only team with 100 percent record at the end of the group games after victories over City FC, Ahudiya and Ngwa United. They will be up against Supreme Kings who held Abia Warriors to a draw in the group stage. The game comes up by 3.30 pm.
Abia Warriors came second in the first edition of the tournament and will face Ahudiya FC of Abiriba by 1.30pm for a quest to pick a semi final ticket and move closer to qualifying for the final.
The Umuahia came out smoking in the last group game with a 5-0 thumping of Jewels Academy but there was apprehension and doubts if they would qualify for the quarter final before the big win after they started the tourney with back to back draws with Sunshine Stars and Supreme Kings.
In the other quarter final fixtures, City FC will square up with Jaguar FC by 9am while Apex Krane and Sunshine Stars will lock horns at 11.30am.
