Heartland General Manager Ifeanyi Chukwudi on behalf of the Management, technical crew, Players and Staff of the club sympathizes with Wikki Tourist FC over the fire mishap on the team’s bus in the early hours of Thursday 18th February 2021 at Kibo Hill, Jos-Akwanga express road in Plateau State.
The Coaster Bus conveying the Officials and Players of the Bauchi based outfit engulfed into flames after two back tyres pulled off while on motion. Fortunately no life was lost but valuables such as mobile phones, sports wears and more, were burnt to ashes.
Speaking shortly before the team departed for their Match Day 11 encounter against Sunshine Stars of Akure, Chukwudi said: “I sympathize with Wikki Tourist of Bauchi over the fire incident they had on their way to honour their match against Dakkada FC in Uyo. It’s a very big tragedy.
“We Heartland Football Club sympathize with them, we share their pains and support them all the way and we pray that God will comfort them and help His Excellency the Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed to come to the aid of the team and technical crew and replace whatever they have lost.”
