Former FK Podgorica of Montenegro forward, Josiah Emmanuel has been sighted in training sessions with Nigeria Premier Football League side, Heartland FC.
The striker who can also operate as a left winger gave a good account of himself and was consistent and outstanding in the practice sessions he had with the Naze Millionaires.
Emmanuel comes from FK Podgorica, a club in the second tier league of Montenegro with an intimidating statistics which includes 21 goals in 44 games over the course of two seasons and information gathered from sources close to him indicated that he would be open to playing for Heartland in a short contract.
The 23 year old has also played for Balikesirspor (Turkey) and in the United States with Seattle Sounders and the source further disclosed that if Emmanuel eventually joins Heartland as a free agent he would help the club escape relegation.
“Yes, I can confirm to you that Josiah Emmanuel is training with Heartland FC. He has done well so far in the training and has distinguished himself as a top player,” the source told dasportstainment247.com.
“He wants to play for Heartland and I think the club is serious about him too. He wants to help Heartland FC get out of their present predicament. We are keeping our fingers crossed because we believe a decision will soon be made.”
The attacker cum winger will be a good addition to Heartland FC who are already brimming with the inclusion of other top players during the just concluded transfer season.
