Enyimba will begin their quest for a place in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup with a first round, first leg tie with Senegalese side, Diambars FC of Saly this Saturday in Dakar.
The People’s Elephant will start their journey to Senegal today when they travel to Lagos ahead of their Thursday departure to Dakar for the weekend’s cracker.
Enyimba were drawn bye in the preliminary round due to their exploits in the Africa’s second tier club competitions where they have always qualified for at least the group stage in the past few seasons.
The People’s Elephant’s Media aide, Zazi Bariza told our correspondent that the players, coaches and other officials are in high spirits and are raring to go.
Enyimba are unbeaten in all the friendly games they have played including away games with Bayelsa United and Rivers United in Yenagoa and Port Harcourt which ended goalless.
