Moffi, Simon suffer defeats
Super Eagles winger, Samuel Kalu played a nine minute cameo plus injury time in his come-back game for Bordeaux in their 1-1 draw at home to second-placed Angers in a French League tie played yesterday.
Kalu slumped in the fifth minute of their penultimate weekend’s 2-2 draw at Marseille but was revived immediately before he was substituted in the 14th minute.
Bordeaux’s doctor who conducted various tests on Kalu disclosed that his heart condition was perfect and that he only suffered from dizziness.
Kalu started yesterday’s game from the bench before he was thrust on in the 81st minute as a replacement for Sekou Mora.
Bordeaux who are 15th on the log with two points from three games are still in search of their first win of the season.
Another Super Eagles attacker, Terem Moffi was replaced in the 62nd minute by Thomas Monconduit in their 3-1 away loss to Montpellier.
Despite the loss, Lorient remains in the 10th spot with four points from three games. Moffi has a goal from three games.
In another game, Nantes suffered their first defeat of the season as they fell 1-0 to Rennes.
Simon who has supplied three assists from two games before the tie was withdrawn in the 46th minute and replaced by Roli Pereira De Sa.
Nantes are ninth on the table with four points.
