The coordinator of the maiden edition of the Ottasolo Pre-season Tournament, Kola Daniel has stated that the organisers of the epoch making tourney have put modalities in place to ensure a hitch free competition come October in Lagos.
Daniel who is equally Media aide to the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports asserted that even though the pre-season tournament is only making its debut but that arrangements have been put in place to ensure the tourney is almost near perfection in terms of arrangements, logistics among others.
With eight Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clubs expected to be part of the tournament Daniel hinted that the tourney would help participating topflight teams to gauge the level of their preparedness for the 2021-22 season.
Speaking further told dasportstainment247.com, Kola Daniel said the tournament will provide better platform for NPFL teams to ascertain their readiness for season with the tournament coming almost when the season is about to begin.
“There is no better way to prepare the clubs for the take off of the league than being involved in a tournament of this magnitude where you have the opportunity of testing newly acquired players’ mettle against tough opponents that you might likely face in the league,” Daniel told dasportstainment247.com.
“Our hope is to organize a befitting tournament where every participant will be glad they participated and the financier of the event, Mr Gabriel Davies is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring a hitch free event.
Mr Gabriel Davies, who is the sole financier of the pre-season tournament is the owner of Ottasolo FC that just gained promotion to Nigeria National League after just a season in the Nationwide League One.
The like of Kwara United, MFM FC, Sunshine Stars and Shooting Stars have already aignified their intention to be part of the tournament billed to hold at the Agege Stadium aka The Soccer Temple from October 23rd to 30th.
