Croatian based Samuel Emem Eduok has revealed the reason why he fetted his friends and fans with financial gifts on social media.

Football is currently at a standstill in the entire globe with the Coronavirus pandemic dealing the world a big blow with over one million reported cases and close to 60,000 deaths globally.

Eduok who now plays for Hadjuk Split told fast-growing WhatsApp platform, Nigerian Sports Mouthpiece (NSM) and monitored by www.dasportstainment247.com that he decided to bring a smile to the faces of his fans and friends on Facebook to help the cushion the effect of the sit at home order clamped on most states in Nigeria.

“It was just out of love because I have so many people especially in Akwa Ibom State,” Eduok stated in an interview.

“I also have my people in Lagos and Port Harcourt and so many friends on Facebook who are not enjoying the present moment at all. Some are not working and some are still in school but are all presently at home.

“I really understand what they are facing because I am also a Nigerian. I know that I have to help them to enable them to buy one or two things because with the lockdown some do not have anything to eat. It is very difficult. It is just to show them love.”
