It was another heroic performance from Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen was the matchwinner on Sunday when he scored the lone goal that handed Napoli a crucial win against AS Roma in Rome.
Osimhen netted the only goal of the game in the 80th minute of the game afterr he latched unto a defensive blunder committed by ex- Manchester United player, Chris Smalling to help the Azurris maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
It was an all important match for the Luciano Spalletti’s side as they continue their search for the first scudetto title in 32 years.
Historically, Napoli’s last 11-game winning streak was recorded between April and September 1986- the Diego Maradona era.
Although the run ended in September, that was still the season Napoli won their first Serie A title.
Osimhen, who recently returned from injury has now scored five goals from nine games in all competitions this season.
