The National President of the Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC), Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi has expressed optimism that the country’s Under 20 Boys can turn things around when they face hosts, Egypt today.

The Flying Eagles lost 1-0 in their first game at the ongoing Africa Under 20 Cup of Nations to Senegal on Sunday and need to respond with a victory against the Junior Pharaohs today to stand a chance of getting to the Quarter final.

Despite the uphill task ahead, Prince Ogunjimi is confident that the Ladan Bosso boys are aware of what is at stake, and will not disappoint.

“It’s a difficult situation honestly, but it’s not over, I’m confident that mistakes will be corrected and the boys will deliver today”.

He has now urged Nigerians to throw their weight behind them as they head into the crucial tie.

The ANFASSC Supremo also noted that the Flying lacked support on the pitch in the first game due to unavailability of the supporters club at the match venue.

He has now called on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to always factor in the supporters club in subsequent plans, he stressed that the Supporters Club contributes in no small measure to the performance of the National teams.
