Following the declaration and presentation of Certificate of Return to the winner of Anambra State gubernatorial election, Professor Charles Soludo,CFR of the All Progressives Grand Alliance,(APGA), the Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike, J.P has sent congratulatory message to the former Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN Governor over his victory at the poll.
Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike in a statement sounded that the victory of Professor Soludo was a determination of the people of Anambra State to uphold the cardinal programmes of APGA which traditionally had been holding sways in elections in the state.
The sports philanthropist
admonished the Governor-elect to deliver all his campaign promises and come up with a policy that will bring unity among classes and political stalwarts in Anambra State.
Ejidike reminded Soludo of the need to improve on social infrastructural development especially in the areas of road network, education, sports and youth employment if crime must be exterminated in Anambra State.
Ejidike identified sports as a veritable sector that can transform the state because teeming youths are talented and keen about sports.
“I enjoin our newly elected governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR to embrace sports and develop sporting facilities to accommodate our youths as a way of meaningfully engaging them. If sports is promoted, peace and unity would be accomplished” Ejidike sounded.
“As Nigeria Pillar of Sports who is also an indigene of Anambra State, I would be ready to contribute and partner with the state government in moving the state forward.
He called on all political leaders to tow the path of peace and progress and join hands with Soludo to take Anambra State to a greater height.
