Abdulrahman Bashir is not part of Enyimba’s traveling list to Burkina Faso for the CAF Champions League preliminary round, first leg fixture against Rahimo of Burkina Faso as he continues his recovery from the knee injury that sidelined his recently.
Bashir only resumed training on Monday from a knee injury he sustained recently and he has been overlooked in the 20 man team that will travel to Ouagadougou for a date with Rahimo on Thursday.
A top official of the team informed DaSportsTainment247.com that Bashir was a not difficult choice to skip the game in Ouagadougou because he is not fully fit and that he will be closely monitored to ensure that he makes a quick return.
Enyimba left Aba for Lagos on Wednesday morning and they are expected to jet to Ouagadougou on Thursday morning. They are going to make a brief stopover in Lome, the capital of Togo before connecting the flight to the Francophone West African land from
there.
The People’s Elephant will leave for Burkina Faso through Ethiopian Airlines. They are returning to the CAF Champions League for the first time since 2016 when they got to the group stage of the lucrative African club competition.
