The President Ikukuoma FC, High Chief Dr. Summers VC Nwokie has challenged his newly assembled team to remain steadfast, dedicated and determined to enable them achieve the aims and objectives of the club which is partly to gain promotion to the Nigeria Nationwide League One at the end of the season.

High Chief Nwokie who is also addressed as Ikukuoma Mbaise stated this at the unveiling of the club’s new players done at their home pitch at Ezeagbogu in Ezinihitte Mbaise on Thursday.

An excited Nwokie said he was happy that what became like a dream some years ago has become a reality with the formation of Ikukuoma FC and he revealed that the icing on the cake was the unveiling of the players they plan to use for the 2023 NLO 2 season which starts next month.

He said the progress made by the Sky Blue Stars was made possible by the efforts and resources of everyone in the club and he added that the players unveiled must remain serious and be focused on the task ahead of them if they want to figure in the technical crew programmes.

“I feel good. It is a good thing that something that started like a dream has become a reality,” High Chief Dr. Nwokie noted.

“Ikukuoma FC has a magic wand and we have been doing our best with the magic playing its role effectively. Our boys are playing as if they have known each other for a long time. It is like a telepathic message going on.

“My boys faced First Mahi and defeated them 2-0. We are not afraid of any game or football club. We play good football and we expect positive results. I have implicit confidence in my boys.”

The club owner hinted that Ikukuoma FC would be run professionally and as such the players and coaches would get all that would work with to make their job easy.

He tasked the players, coaches and other staff of the club to be focused and remain diligent to the assignment at hand while promising that their home ground would wear a new look in the next couple of weeks among other things.

“We have started serious work on the pitch and its surroundings. In one week or two, everything needed here will be put in place,” he added.

“We want to breed exceptional, dedicated, and determined groups of players. We love what we do.

“What I want to serve as the motivation to these players is for them to aspire to be great. We don’t want lazy players. We want those that are serious-minded. Whatever you need to succeed is here.
