.Oluyole Spikers, Imo Spikers beaten
Sword Volleyball Club of Benue continued their impressive run at the ongoing 2023 National Division 2 Volleyball League in Owerri with another routine 3-1 win over Safety Spikers who had their three game winning streak snapped by the Makurdi based team. Sword also thrashed Ajase Ipo 3-0 in another game.
Olalomi Royal Volleyball Club of Offa, Kwara State got a rare win yesterday following their 3-2 win over neighbours, Ajase Ipo Volleyball Club, Kwara State in a local derby. It ended 25-20, 23-25, 23-25, 25-21, 15-12 in favour of Olalomi Royal who secured their second win after the opening day 3-1 victory over Adamawa Spikers.
For the hosts, Imo Spikers it was a case of you lose one and gain one. They lost 3-0 to Life Camp of Abuja (25-18, 25-22, 25-20) but beat NAF Rockets of Abuja 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-23) to record their fourth victory out of seven games. NAF Rockets on the other hand edged Udogu Spikers 3-0 (25-16, 25-22, 25-20) for their second win from four games.
Adamawa Spikers got the surprise result of Day Four when they ended the unbeaten run of Oluyole Spikers with an agonising 3-0 defeat. Adamawa Spikers dazed Oluyole Spikers, 25-16, 25-22,25-20.
Also, Udogu Spikers managed to end their unproductive start to the season after beating Olalomi Royal Volleyball Club 3-0. They won the game 26-24, 25-18 and 25-19 sets.
UCEM of Enugu and CNS Spikers also won theur games in Division 1 while Olalomi Royal Volleyball Club dazed Imo Spikers 3-0 in the only women’s tie decided on Thursday.
