Warri Wolves Football Club have appointed Ortega Deniran as their new technical adviser.

Deniran’s appointment is contained in a club audio message released on Wednesday by the substantive Chief Executive Officer of the club, Etu Moses.

Etu stated that Deniran is an experienced tactician, having worked at Enyimba International and the national U-20 team, the Flying Eagles, under Paul Aigbogun.

“If you’re aware, few days ago, the coaches of Warri Wolves were asked to step aside,” Etu said.

“And the Executive chairman of the sports commission, Chief Tonobok Okowa, gave a directive that the search for a new technical adviser must take place immediately.”

“I’m happy to inform you that we’ve got one. As a matter of fact, he has resumed work today(Wednesday, May 19). He had his first training session with the team today at our new home, the Delta State Polytechnic Stadium in Ozoro.”

“I must reveal his identity of the new technical adviser. He is Coach Ortega Deniran. He is from Delta State.”

“And he holds a UEFA A licence. He has worked in Nigeria and in Europe. At a time, he was with Enyimba International and the Flying Eagles(2019 class).”

“I have introduced him to the players. My prayer is it works out well with him. I have told the players to work with him. The players have pledged to work with him. They’ve assured him of their loyalty.”

Etu noted that there is hope that the club would beat the drop zone with the coming of Coach Deniran, especially now that the Delta State Government is giving the Seasiders all they need.

The new technical adviser will take charge of his first game in the current Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, campaign with the Wolves on Sunday, May 23 in Gombe, when the club will trade tackles with Adamawa United.
