Several matches were postponed last weekend in the Tsenba Wummen Under 14 & 16 Football League after the siege on some part of Jos metropolis also at the same period.
Despite the security challenge the few matches played still produced goals and exceptional results.
Under 14
In the Under-14 category, Relentless FA pipped Jr.Sporting Boys 1-0 to open up a four-point gap at the top of the table. The fixture was the pick of the pack because it was between the league leader and third-placed teams but it was Samuel Elisha’s 17th-minute strike that separated both sides. Relentless FA coached by Victor Wikadsson continue to be pacesetters in the Under 14 category with 60 points from 23 games but second-placed Mees Palace who are on 56 points have played two fewer games. With the loss, Jr. Sporting Boys dropped a step to the fourth spot with 42 points from 21 games.
In another tie, Jazzy Stars FA moved to the sixth spot after they mauled 5th placed Elspuron FA 4-0.
Destiny Eribo got the first goal for the Galaxies in the 30th minute, Samuel Odeshina got the second goal in the 50th minute, Wisdom Jethro got the third goal in the 52nd minute, while Jezreel Akintola put the icing on the cake for Jazzy Stars FA in the 60th minute. Jazzy Stars thus move to 37 points from 23 games while Elspuron remained in the fifth spot with 40 points from the same number of games.
In the third and last match played in the Under-14 category, Highland Stars FA toppled Young Champions 3-1.
The trio of Timnan Patrick, Emmanuel Ezeoba and Favour Okeke netted the goals for Highland Stars in the 20th, 36th and 60th minutes respectively, while Henry Chuwang got the consolatory goal for Young Champions in the 16th minute. Highland Stars leaped to the third spot with 45 points from 21 games while Young Champions are 15th with 21 points.
Under 16
Jazzy Stars FA have made it 19 goals from their last two games after whitewashing Top Free Academy 8-2 and Royal Stars FA 11-1 at the Rayfield Sports Resort football field.
The duo of Joel Ali and David Jehoshaphat got four goals each, while the trio of Udakudi Ajang, Tisloh Ishaku and Emmanuel Olaniyan completed the rout for the Galaxies with a goal each. The win lifted Jazzy Stars to the eighth spot with 36 points from 23 games.
Terngu Terfa got the consolatory goal for Royal Stars who remained in the relegation zone and 18th on the table with 12 points.
Third placed Kuru Youngstars FA also produced a masterclass performance to beat ninth placed, Samba Boys FA 3-0.
Weng Pwajok got the first goal in the 2nd minute, Pam Dung got the second goal in the 10th minute and Modecai Elisha got the third goal in the 15th minute as Kuru Stars obliterated their foes in style to remain in the third position with 53 points.
In the third match played in the Under-16 category, Jeddy Academy defeated Galatians FA 2-0, with Reuben Igyem and Godwin Itse scoring the goals in the 25th and 54th minutes respectively.
