-74kg Taekwondo gold medalist for Team Delta, Bright Kolade has expressed his delight at his impressive performance at the ongoing 21st National Sports Festival in Asaba, Delta State and has hinted that his best is yet to come in the sport.
Speaking to the Nigeria Taekwondo Federation Media, the young Taewkondoist affirmed that the experience he got so far from both the National and International championships he attended helped him to become champion and that he won’t be content with his achievement.
“I can tell you that the G-4 Taekwondo tournament I participated in in Rwanda opened my eyes to so many things that I need to learn,” Kolade said.
“The experienced I picked from there was what I used in the festival to become a champion.”
He maintained that winning the National Sports Festival gold medal is just a stepping stone as his target is to win the African Games next year in Ghana.
“I want to say it here that my target is to win the National Sports Festival Gold Medal and I have done that. My next dream is the African Games in Ghana next year so I will do everything within my reach to bring the gold for Nigeria”.
Bright Kolade who represented Delta state in the ongoing National Sports Festival in Asaba Delta 2022 describes the championship as the best festival ever.
“I want to really say since I have been fighting in Taekwondo, the organization of this year’s Sports Festival, I will describe it as the best ever and kudos must be given to Delta state government for making this event which is our own Olympic a success.”
