Plateau FA Women’s League: The Princess eyes upset against Queens in historic final

It will be a historic event Thursday at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium, Jos as the first ever Plateau State FA organised grassroots women league final takes centre stage.


Tin City Queens, who have been taking every team to the cleaners since this competition started, scoring 24 goals without conceding none in 5 matches will meet their match at the finals as they take on a Gotaks United Princess of Mangu who conceded only two goals in six matches.

The competition highest goals scorer thus far, Mary Godim of Tin City Queens with 9 goals will be going all out to finish top against Pankshin United Girls’ Nenrot KitKat who is breathing down her neck with 6 goals.


Nenrot KitKat’s Pankshin United Girls will battle it out with Mees Palace Lynx in the third place match for the bronze medals.

The final match, which will see the Plateau State FA headed by Sunday Samson Longbap, host dignitaries like NFF 1st Vice President, Seyi Akinwumi, Chairman, NFF Technical Committee, Ahmed Yusuf Fresh, Chairman Nigeria Women Football league, Aisha Falode, Chairman, Nigeria Referee Council, Sheriff Inuwa, Women Affairs Minister, Pauline Tallen, among others, will kick off by 3pm.


The third place match will commence by 1pm.
All matches will be played at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium.
